The Central Coast Traveler is back after a four year hiatus. I’m amazed at the popularity of this blog, years after I stopped writing. Thank you for being here! I will continue to share travel tips and places to see along California’s Central Coast. California is such a big and beautiful place, I may even take you to other locations that aren’t on the coast, but still well worth your time.
For today, have a look at this oldie but goodie from the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur. This is one of my favorite spots there: a bench perched 1200 feet above the Pacific. I’ve sat there for hours and never wanted to leave. The Post Ranch Inn is currently closed due to the Pfeiffer Bridge outage just to the north, but the southern approach on Highway 1 is scheduled to open in early May, which will offer much needed relief to the businesses and residents of the area, cut off from the world.
